Kitty Ward Field Day!!

What fun we all had at field day. There were so many great wet activities!! I'm so happy we made it. This morning was nothing if not CRAZY!! Being the blondie that I am, I accidentally bought a 2009 calender and have been using it! Luckily I have showed up to all of my appointments on time and on the right day! Our dog Boog was scheduled to be neutered today the 28th and I thought that the 28th was tomorrow not today. Well lucky for me, last night I realized that was not the case and hurried to shift a few things around to make everything work out. Jaden has to be to school be 8am and I needed to have Boog at the Vet anywhere from 8-9am. Well that doesnt seem so bad right? Right! If only it were that simple! I occasionally watch my neighbors little boy while she works, and of coarse I needed to watch him today! And she drops him off at 8:30am. Now if this was the only little hiccup, I'd be able to deal with it! Our Vet is on the clear other end of town. Horizon and 95. I'm at North Decatur and 215.





Now you ask me, why do you take him clear over there? My answer is, it's CHEAPER!!! The Vet we were going to wanted to charge about $300.00 for a neuter, meds, office visit, blood work, anesthesia, and an x-ray to check for hip displasia ( sorry for the spelling :)). While Dr. Plfaum is including all of the same things, except for the x-ray for only $125.00. Cheaper!!





Anyway I just asked if my neighbor could drop off her little guy 10 til 8 and hoped I would make it across town in time. It must be my LUCKY day because I was only 5min. late and was able to make it back to Jadens school to watch her participate in field day and Bradley was happy to have been able to join in the fun too!!





Note to self : Check calender year before purchasing a calender!!! ;)

We've Been Busy

Last Friday Chaparral High School had it's last concert under the direction of Marsha Borovicka. It was so great to have been able to go and see old friends and sing Friends as is tradition at every Chaparral Spring Concert.

Mrs. B even had a part in the concert, something she NEVER has done before! At least not while I was in her class!! Expressions performed a Mary Poppins Musical and Mrs. B played the bird lady. It was so wonderful to see her on stage!

On Saturday we went to her retirement party! It was a blast! Sharing memories of our high school choir days with her and some many good friends!! I wish I would have taken more pictures. I was to busy gabbing that I forgot to take pictures! I did happen to get this picture though! The Stanley/Lawson now is a Stanley/Christensen crew!!

I feel so privileged to have had such a wonderful music teacher in high school, who shared her love for music with 11,812 students in her 33 years of teaching. So many of my most memorable high school moments were because I was in choir. Choir helped mold me into the person that I am today and I will always be grateful for all that Mrs. B has given me.

Monday was Kitty Ward Family Night at Chili's! I was all for NOT cooking! So we loaded the kids up and off we went!

Owen for the past few weeks, has discovered the joy of singing. I don't remember what song was playing, but he was all into it!!

It's so wonderful to make friends and memories that last a life time. It brings me such joy to be able to share great moments from my past with my children, and watch them create their own!

My NEW Love!

Okay like so many of you I have fallen in LOVE with the Twilight series. I couldnt put the books down and John and the kids were feeling a little neglected.

I do agree with Rachel that some parts were a little slow moving, but over all I think that they were very well writen. I think that everyone that hasn't read them NEEDS to add them to the top of there summer reading list! It is such a wonderful love story with great characters! One of my favorites is Alice- I just love her personality! I dont want to give anything away to those of you who havent read them so I wont say anything more except READ IT! You'll be glad you did!

Breaking Dawn the forth book that ends the series hits the selves August 2nd. I cant wait!!!
